You are outstanding. I have thrown many a party, and had many a good caterer, but never have I worked with someone so easy to work with who produces the rave compliments that you did. I will gladly hire you to do a party any time the need arises. But before you ascend to cult like status, I just want everyone to know that I knew you “when”. Absolutely phenomenal pork, turkey, everything…
I am proud to know that our party was the first to eat all your buns… I never even got a brownie, but I understand that while not smoked like the rest of our dinner, they were the best brownies ever. Thank you for everything.

John Atkins is the chief and chef of the Barbecue Connection. I have worked with him in the capacity of the University of Virginia Medical Center where he has been a very reliable and helpful operating room technician. It was an easy decision to have John cater several functions for the Orthopaedic Department including an annual picnic and several journal clubs.
The service that John provides as a caterer and as a chef is outstanding. His cooking and prep team have won national awards and he is now an instructor for barbecue style cooking. He, his wife Theresa, and those that work with him are all quality individuals who produce a good product and deliver in a timely fashion at a reasonable cost.
In summary, I highly recommend John Atkins and his catering for most any type of function.
